U.S. v. Erickson, Case No. 11CR3372-AJB, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California

This case involved the rare prosecution of two lawyers and a nurse accused of committing fraud in the child surrogacy industry.  Our client was, at the time, the leading lawyer and media legal commentator in the industry here in the United States.  This rare prosecution also focused on the many troubling social, ethical and legal issues in this industry.  Our client forthrightly accepted her guilt and responsibility in this criminal venture and thereby lost her cherished law license and loved profession.  Resolved to use the hard lessons she learned from a lapse in her otherwise good judgment, our client launched her personal campaign to reform the “corruption” teeming the child surrogacy industry.
